The news

This is what they wrote about the climate in the papers last week
Will you settle with my content, is it truth you really seek
Just in case you missed it I can tell you that the future’s looking bleak
Pollution’s taking over and CO2 emissions reached a peak

A new source of carbon was discovered and we’re all gonna die
Poly-ethylene in birds’ eggs, now plastic’s flying in the sky
Methane levels rising in the arctic and the temperatures are high
Half a million cows drown down under, while their rivers running dry

Polar bears escape the warming arctic they don’t know where they belong
While killer whales keep dying underneath the ice sheets until they’re gone
Someone wrapped a glacier in tin foil, someone else composed a song
While the worst case scenario unfolds, we still act like nothing’s wrong

Mmm, then again it could be Yellowstone
Oooh, do we have Godzilla on the phone?

We’ll get another hidden headline in the morning I am sure
Just wait another week and if you’re lucky I may give another tour
